ello, my name is Mark Carberry, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I was introduced to Scientology in 1978 during finals at Georgetown University. My friend and I were taking a break early in the morning and he pointed to a tree and asked me if I thought that tree was rational or irrational. In other words, was it caused by some physical universe spontaneous combustion type thing or did it have some other cause, like a blueprint. As I knew that “rational” basically means to be in proportion I immediately knew that the tree fit that definition. Until that moment I had never really looked at it.

      He then introduced me to Dianetics and L. Ron Hubbard. About a year later I bought the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and read it. Since that time I’ve used both Dianetics and Scientology daily in my life.

     I’ve been an independent contractor/consultant now for 15 years and have become professional in two careers: computer programming (relational databases, C, etc.) and in designing printed circuit boards. Some of my creations are now around various planets – Venus, Mars and somewhere by Jupiter. Others circle the planet. The original design of the phone you use on airlines was done by myself.

      I am happily married, have a wonderful 3 year old son who will grow up in a sane world.
